One neat trick I found was using PVA glue and superglue. They react with each other and form a tough wrinkled skin surface. It's nice and organic, making covering large areas much easier than using tones of greenstuff.
And then there is the invaluable instant mould. Heat it up, press onto a surface then run under cool water and save yourself hours of sculpting. Great stuff.

Love it, can't wait to see it all painted! I have the model to, but have just put it together, very daunting model to start painting.

DeleteI noticed there are some smaller, more pointed twigs on the tree - did you make them with dryad parts or in a different way?
ReplyDeleteYeah mostly dryad bits. Just makes it look more like a tree, the kit alone is pretty poor for anything other than table scenery.
