Warhammer Quest Tile Room - Gorgut's Lair
Behold mighty Gorgut's lair, it's been hovering near the front of the queue waiting for paint, but there was always another piece which needed doing.
Once I'd splashed a little paint on this really came together, pool of blood by the stairs isn't really visible on the photo, but it looks pretty cool up close. The ork icon is a 3D forgeworld icon I got a few years back, seemed ideal for the project.
There are a handful of tiles left to complete, but the 3D rooms project is nearly wrapped up. Have nearly all the monsters in the monster tables based and undercoated, so still loads of painting left to complete.
Warhammer Quest - Imperial Noble
Imperial Noble, not much to say about this guy except this sculpt perfectly conveys this guys self-belief and arrogance.
Great model and love the rules with him. Planning to run him in the next campaign.
Warhammer Quest Tile room - Gaol
I've made a big mistake. Having thought I'd posted all my completed role photos here I cannot find the posts at all. It's very possible I completely imagined uploading them. So I'll get the posts completed within the next few days.
First seen in white dwarf 185 the gaol was a great way to start an adventure. With the four waking up without armour or weapon and having to hatch a plan of escape.
Hadn't originally planned to make a 3D tile for all the expansions, but here we are. The shadows were fun to paint on and the effect works quite well.
Warhammer Quest - Dwarf - Grombrindal the white dwarf
The spiritual successor to the hero quest dwarf. Seemed only fitting this guy should be the WHQ dwarf. Initially released in 1998 this mini was sat in a box for over 20 years.
I tried painting it a few years ago, but was beaten by that axe, there didn't seem to be a way to tackle this using regular metallics so I've had to wait unti skills matched expectation for the mini. Pleased with the results.
Warhammer Quest - Monster! - An Ogre
Another ogre favorite of mine, again a Michael Perry sculpt.
I was in a painting challenge with someone on the Facebook middlehammer group to finish painting this mini and as he was doing a nautical theme I decided to join him. So the scales are taken from a sea drake, a little unconventional, but particularly fun to paint.
Warhammer Quest - Monsters - Six Undead Mummies
Six mummies for the quest tables.
Love these sculpts and they were relatively easy to paint.
The first reference to these mummies I can find are in the 1991 Red catalogue 2, ethereal range.

Warhammer Quest Adventurer and Monster Table Collection
This post is designed to track progress collecting and painting the heroes and monsters from the classic 1994 Warhammer Quest boardgame.
All the miniatures in this post have been painted by a lifelong friend Rich and myself.
And a big thanks to Matt over on MattGeeMinis and his extensive Quest tables. It was his idea to chart progress and he gave us the blessing to use his idea.

Quest - Guard Room Tile
A mate kindly gifted me some furniture last year and have to say it adds tons of life to the tiles and dungeon. Reckon I'll have to have a dig through those RPG rules for our next game.
Warhammer Quest - Giant Spiders
Painted Copplestone Castings spiders, quick and simple paintjob. The variety in colours worked well and kept the painting interesting, although when facing them in the dungeon they are removed so quickly it was probably unnecessary.
Warhammer Quest Minotaurs - Guardians of the deep
A couple of minotaurs, had one of these minis kicking around since 1996, finally got round to painting it. Love these old minotaurs, especially the double handed weapon variants.
Warhammer Quest - Wizard / Witch - Melisandre
As we all know a good wizard is the backbone of a party of adventurers. Without a healer you're gonna have a tough time of it.
The first few settlements for our Wizard, were pretty unkind. However after our party entered the worlds edge mountains things started to look up for her. In the last little village, just south of Karak Varn she ended up betrothed to an attractive farmer son. This prompted her to adopt the nickname Melisandre.
